Maybe I'm dreaming right now.

Dreams. Oh, dreams. If I worked harder than Mr. Carl Ownes does at what he loves to do.. If I cried through the pain, through the uncertainty.. If I walked down that scary road, and found it in me to follow my dreams.. then I wouldn't be here. I'd either be dead, or walking around with my head happily cut off. Everyone we know has real dreams they don't go for. Sometimes I feel like we are supposed to know our dreams, and feel the fire for our dreams just so we wont ever get them. It's kind of like when you lay down at night and pray to nothing, technically. You figure you know "He's" listening but you're not going to sit down at a table and talk to Him about what's wrong, or right. You're going to pray and then decide what is best for your heart in that moment. He gives you that choice. God is a good listener, and only a good listener. Sure, God is in the desk you're at, the computer you're on, and the sun you live with.. But He's like your dreams too. Those dreams you'll touch upon every once in a while when you feel infinite..Or those dreams that you always go to, but not actually live for. You can't say it's money, housing, or food that stands in the way of dreams if "God is on your side" right? Sure you can! If God is anything like us than follow your dreams while being ready to be let down, yelled at, hated, left behind, given an opportunity and losing it, given an opportunity and being content with it, or simply get lucky. I hope someday I can think.. Don't let the material things that are important to you slow you down from following what is actually important inside of you.

very nice. good post and i agree with you, but the only thing i don't necessarily agree with is what you said about "God is a good listener, and a good listener only." I agree, God is a great listener, the best in fact as he listens with the utmost compassion towards anything we have to say to him. What he wants most is to have a relationship with us, and communication is the key. Communication is a two way process. So, God does not only listen, but also speaks to us. God's words are powerful. God spoke and the world was created. I feel that the inner most real dreams we have are in fact the dreams God has for us, He works for the good of His people and wants us to be happy and praising His name, but things get in the way and we stray away from listening to what God has to say in our lives. We put up secular excuses like money, time, etc. and that blocks our ears from God's powerful word. We can only achieve our dreams if we know how to get there, and God's plan is flawless. Turn our ears to Him. It's not always easy with so many things of the world getting in the way, but if we do this it can happen as all things are possible through Christ.

Yes, that's what I meant haha. I was speaking literally. And personally too, sometimes, which is okay. Thanks for reading though, man! :) :)

I find it very hard to believe that God listens or cares about what we say at all. Any goodness and righteousness that comes into or out of this world is all by accident. God's goodness was in the mere creation of life, but I don't think God cares about the rest of it.

If God does care, God's doing a bad job of showing it by creating religion, especially fundamentalism.
