*I have my comments on off! That's why they don't show up :)*
Yesterday I was driving home at somewhere around 11:45 p.m. and I thought about my old friend, Steven. Steven was/is so thoughtful, peaceful, honest, loving, and true. Most people would say, "Well, clearly he wasn't too bright to end his own life." It's just that it goes to show how lost someone can be, while showing grace to their families, friends, or random people, which alone should stand for something. I was thinking about the last time I spent 'real time' with Steven. We went to eat lunch and listened to vinyl records. He loved his "heavy metal" vinyls and also real hip/hop, dance, jazz, and Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Although it seems like we didn't do anything worth talking about on that last day I spent with him, he might have helped me in tremendous ways through my journey. He said something to me that I'll never forget. Never. I'll say the same thing to my children, actually. I'll keep what he said to myself, but the point is...Listen to your friends in their journeys through life. Listen for what can EASILY be their last words to you.

I think about this idea a lot. It's why I really like quoting people on twitter and facebook. Isaac, Andrew Frank, you, and Joel still say some of the most important things I've ever heard. Friends say more than poets ever could. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to know poets like you four.
my comments work now!
Thanks man. We all feel the same with you. It is important to have "thoughtful" friends.
